Not much remains of that historic version: the cotton’s “pitch”, the two goals
(one with a broken leg, but “reconstructed” with scotch-tape), flags (5
over 6, one corner base it is without flag), a goalie (repainted and
without iron rod), some blue and red players, but clumsily repainted.
The cotton
pitch, the most important historical element, has small abrasions
(cleverly stitched) on the outer edge. On the other hand we played on
the floor in the hall (which my mother pulled splendidly wax) by setting
the field to the floor with four our father’s mineral stones that he
permitted to use. Never had an axis on which paste (thankfully!) the
pitch. But the minerals, which are not round and smooth, made some
little holes on the pitch. |
